About Slip Surgeon

Slip Surgeon is a one-person project built by JB in Michigan, for NBA and NFL player-prop bettors who use FanDuel or BetMGM. The goal is simple: show the math behind every lean, make slips quick to load, and keep the free tools actually free.

How the model works

Fresh FanDuel lines. Every refresh pulls the current FanDuel Sportsbook (Michigan) prices. We strip the book's margin to get a fair price for each leg. BetMGM lines are matched for one-tap slips.
A second source. A public projection has to land on the same side of the line as our own number, or the leg is dropped.
Game logs. Recent box scores (ESPN for the NBA, nflverse for the NFL) give each player's current form.
Injuries. ESPN's public injury report. Only active players make a slip; ruled-out players are removed and their legs re-checked.
Defense vs position. How much each defense allows to each position, compared with the league average (NBA, NFL).
Conservative by design. We pull our number back toward the market so we don't oversell an edge. A lean only shows when our chance beats the chance the FanDuel price implies.

What we don't do

No locks, no guarantees, and no win-loss or profit claims. These are model picks: a starting point you can water down, swap or skip. We cover NBA and NFL only, and we're not affiliated with FanDuel, BetMGM, the NBA or the NFL.
